So I read the article twice and what I think you're trying to say is that we need to take justice into our own hands because the laws aren't doing anything?

In general, you also seem to be criticizing our ability to distinguish right from wrong? I think the whole opening related to the idea that obviously, it's wrong that a 50-year-old should have sexual relations with a 4-year-old, and you shouldn't need a law to tell you that. Did I get close?

In any case, I am sure you can tell that your point gets lost at times.

I would be lying if I said I didn't think that people shouldn't need a legal system or another party to distinguish right from wrong and in general, I am quite critical of cancel culture. However, I am curious about your solution ( I mean that genuinely) because I have a hard time thinking of one.

I hope it's not another form of punishment like a prison. Even when someone is locked up for a crime with proper "justice", they are more than likely to return there. They don't change. Punishment is not a good motivator for behavior change. But what could correct their behavior? I for one have no clue.
